FAST & FEMALE
I have some exciting news involving sports, empowerment and GIRL POWER!
As you may know, I am a proud ambassador of Fast and Female. F&F was created by Olympic gold medalist Chandra Crawford in western Canada, and I am so pumped to announce that there will be a summit hosted in Ontario next month!
In case you aren’t familiar with the organization, Fast and Female’s goal is to support, motivate and inspire girls ages 9 to 19 to stick to sports and the healthy lifestyle. It creates “empowerment through sport” for girls by hosting fun-filled, non-competitive programming led by female Olympians and elite athletes, as well as by delivering educational content to parents and coaches.
WHEN: Saturday, November 15, 2014
WHERE: Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville
WHO: Girls aged 9-19 who want to have an awesome day meeting new people, learning about living a healthy, active lifestyle and having FUN! Parents are also welcome to attend, as they will be equipped with resources to deal with the various challenges they may encounter during their daughter’s sporting journey. And female athletes who want to get in on the action by becoming ambassadors can also get involved (please email me for details).
